H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs, leveraging advanced tax training and the support of a specialized team.

You will conduct tax interviews, prepare returns, and help clients with IRS-related matters, while growing the practice and mentoring teammates in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Face-to-face or virtual tax interview experience required.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for various client needs.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products/services.
• Provide clients with IRS support and audit notice handling where applicable.
• Must mentor and support teammates in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Conduct tax interviews with clients in person or via video/phone/chat.
• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals, trusts, or partnerships.
• Grow the client base and promote additional HR Block services.
• Assist clients with IRS correspondence and audit support as needed.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with the tax team to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

  • Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation
• Mentor and support teammates

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
