Job summary

H&R Block in McDonough, GA seeks a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to assist clients with diverse tax needs with expert team support.

You'll receive advanced tax training and work with clients to deliver accurate returns, while building relationships that strengthen annually. The role supports virtual and in-person interviews, tax planning, and IRS services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
• Experience completing various tax returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.

• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and upsell services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
