Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You’ll receive advanced tax training and support from an expert team. This office operates as an independently owned franchise.

You will conduct tax interviews, prepare returns, and provide IRS support while helping grow the client base and offering additional services. Completion of tax coursework or assessments is noted as part of the process.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field


• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification


• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)


• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax


• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews


• Experience with tax planning and audit support


• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2


• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax


• Experience completing individual returns


• Experience working in a fast-paced environment


• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat


• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing


• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements


• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
