Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasoned Tax Professional for a seasonal role to serve clients with diverse tax needs, backed by expert support and advanced training.

You will conduct tax interviews with clients in person or via virtual tools, prepare complete and accurate tax returns, and help grow the business while mentoring teammates. Franchise office guidelines and IRS rules apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required or preferred.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification desirable.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews and tax planning.

• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products.
• Provide clients with IRS support and audit representation where applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
