H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and provide advanced tax training to ensure success. You will work with an expert team to conduct interviews, prepare returns, and contribute to client growth.

The role emphasizes strong communication, virtual interviewing, and adherence to IRS requirements, with franchisee-led hiring decisions. A CPA or EA certification is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience completing complex returns in individual, trust, partnership
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews with clients
• Sales and/or marketing experience in tax services
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience with tax planning and audit support

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support (including notices and audit representation where applicable)
• Mentor and support teammates

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
