Job summary

H&R Block is hiring seasonal, experienced Tax Professionals to serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team and advanced training.

You will conduct tax interviews, prepare returns, assist with growth and client retention, and provide IRS support. Franchise offices handle hiring directly; enrollment in the Block Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment is not a guarantee of employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
