Job summary

H&R Block in Jesup, GA seeks a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You will deliver accurate returns, conduct client interviews, and rely on an expert team and advanced training to succeed.

In this role you’ll help clients optimize filings, provide IRS support when needed, and mentor teammates in a fast-paced, ever-changing tax season. This office operates as an independently owned franchise.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or enrollment in related program.
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience completing individual returns.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with virtual tools – video, phone and chat.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone and in writing.
• Must meet continuing education requirements and IRS/state rules.
• High school diploma or equivalent or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience
