Job summary

H&R Block in Cuero, Texas seeks a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to help clients with diverse tax needs and to grow with the support of a nationwide team. You’ll receive advanced tax training and opportunities to expand your expertise while delivering high-quality service.

You will conduct tax interviews in person and through virtual tools, prepare complete and accurate tax returns, advise on tax planning, and collaborate with colleagues to drive client growth and retention.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environmentComfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
