Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and provide advanced training support. You’ll interview clients, prepare returns, and help grow the business while delivering IRS assistance where needed.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in accounting or related field, CPA/EA certification, and relevant experience with complex returns. This role emphasizes client relationships and growth in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals, trusts and partnerships.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support, including audit notice services where applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

This office is an independently owned and operated franchise office operating under an agreement with H&R Block. Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
