Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs in Bemidji, Minnesota. You’ll receive advanced tax training and work with an expert team to deliver accurate returns and superior service.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, CPA or EA certification, and 5+ years in accounting or tax. Experience with virtual interviews and tax planning is valued. This role includes a pay range of $20–$30 per hour.

Qualifications

• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
