Harrington & Johnson LLC is seeking a Tax Preparer for a full-time, on-site role in Natchitoches, LA. The position may offer a seasonal hybrid schedule.

You will prepare individual and business tax returns and build a strong understanding of each client's financial situation, gathering documents and meeting filing requirements. This year-round role goes beyond seasonality, including tax planning, responding to notices, and maintaining client records.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing individual and business tax returns in public accounting or tax practice.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws relevant to individuals and small businesses.
• Ability to read and interpret financial statements and supporting documents.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business tax returns accurately and timely.
• Gather and review supporting documents and identify deductions/credits.
• Respond to tax notices and client questions; maintain organized records.
• Work independently while collaborating with the team to meet deadlines.
