Job summary

H&R Block Sparta, Michigan is seeking a friendly frontline associate to support tax interviews by accurately entering client and W-2 details into the tax software and helping assemble the tax return for review.

You will verify information with clients, obtain required signatures, and finalize the filing steps, while providing attentive service and clear explanations of the process to each client.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Ability to read and math for tax interviews.

What You’ll Bring To The Team

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service
• All other duties as assigned

Your Expertise

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs
• Additional state and local requirements may apply

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional course work in math, accounting, or finance
