Job summary

H&R Block in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Tax Professional to join our client-focused team. You will conduct tax interviews, prepare returns, and apply tax knowledge with support from experts.

This role offers flexible hours during tax season, collaboration with teammates, and opportunities to grow tax expertise while helping clients navigate IRS processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment
• Experience working in a fast-paced, supportive environment
• Ability to work a minimum of 25-35 hours weekly throughout tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Must meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
