Job summary

Inceed has partnered with a great company to recruit a Tax Preparer to join their team in Edmond, OK. This hands-on role focuses on preparing a variety of tax returns, following up with clients, and supporting a collaborative accounting team dedicated to client service and professional growth.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of public accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and proficiency with Lacerte, QuickBooks Desktop and Online.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 1–3 years of public accounting experience.
• Experience preparing tax returns in a professional setting.
• Proficiency with Lacerte tax software.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Clear communication and follow-through with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
• Organize client documentation and enter tax data accurately.
• Identify missing information and follow up as needed.
• Communicate progress, deadlines, and issues to internal team members.
• Support quarterly estimates and basic tax planning tasks.
• Stay current on tax procedures and ongoing training.
• Meet internal deadlines while maintaining quality and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with team members to support efficient workflow.

$60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Tax Preparer to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented tax professional who enjoys hands‑on return preparation, client follow‑up, and supporting a collaborative accounting team. In this role, you’ll help prepare a variety of tax returns while contributing to a firm known for its client service, steady workflow, and commitment to professional growth.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
• Organize client documentation and enter tax data accurately
• Identify missing information and follow up as needed
• Communicate progress, deadlines, and issues to internal team members
• Support quarterly estimates and basic tax planning tasks
• Stay current on tax procedures and ongoing training
• Meet internal deadlines while maintaining quality and confidentiality

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 1-3 years of public accounting experience
• Experience preparing tax returns in a professional setting

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• CPA license or active CPA pursuit
• Experience with trust tax return preparation
• Experience with SmartVault document management
• Familiarity with Podio workflow management
• Exposure to quarterly tax estimates and tax planning
• Internship experience in public accounting
