Job summary

Synectics Inc. is seeking a Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer to manage client bookkeeping, individual and business tax preparation, and basic accounting tasks in Redfield, SD. The role covers tax returns, QuickBooks bookkeeping, payroll support, and tax reporting.

The candidate will bring QuickBooks proficiency, tax preparation experience, and familiarity with ProSeries, payroll, and sales tax processes, with attention to detail and reliability in reporting.

Qualifications

• Prior QuickBooks experience.
• Income tax preparation experience.
• ProSeries Tax Software experience.
• Knowledge of payroll and sales tax reporting.
• Experience with bookkeeping for farmers or businesses.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Accounting coursework or degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 1040 personal income tax returns, including Schedule C, Schedule F, and depreciation schedules.
• Provide bookkeeping services using QuickBooks.
• Assist with payroll and sales tax reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
