Job summary

And Simple ApS in Bozeman is seeking the inaugural Tax & Operations Manager for a newly established family office aligned with a founder-owned business. The role splits roughly 50/50 between corporate finance and tax support for the operating business and building family-office accounting from scratch.

You will own bookkeeping for family entities, manage tax work with the external CPA, and ensure internal controls, entity registrations, and advisor liaison.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in FO / private-client accounting, public accounting (tax/audit), or CFO/Controller for a private or family-owned business
• 5+ years multi-entity tax analysis/prep (LLCs, partnerships, trusts, household); Canadian taxation exposure preferred
• First-hire / build-from-scratch experience preferred
• Sage Intacct or comparable ERP experience; advanced Excel; MS 365; federal/state tax compliance (1040, 1041, 1065, K-1s, PTET)

Responsibilities

• Primary liaison on finance and tax operations for operating business and FO
• Bookkeeping for family entities and household accounts; monthly package
• Coordinate estimated tax payments; track entity filings and renewals
• Develop internal controls; manage insurance and vendor admin
• Build SharePoint structure and SOPs
