Job summary

Krutilla & Associates, a fast-growing CPA firm based in Walnut Creek, seeks a Tax Manager/Sr Manager to lead tax engagements for real estate funds, REITs, tech clients and high‑net‑worth individuals. You will supervise staff, deliver compliant tax services, and advise on planning opportunities.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of tax public accounting experience (8+ for senior manager), a CPA/EA, and strong knowledge of current tax laws.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax experience in public accounting (8+ years for senior manager).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (including Word and Excel).
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and current tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise.
• Train, develop, and mentor team members.
• Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns.
• Identify and mitigate tax risks.

Krutilla & Associates is a fast-growing CPA firm based in Walnut Creek specialising in tax and consulting services for a variety of large and mid-sized clients. Our clients include real estate opportunity funds, real estate investment trusts, homebuilders, technology companies, professional service firms, and high-net-worth individuals. Qualified candidates will obtain experience working on many challenging projects in a casual environment. Candidates will work as part of a team to complete tax returns and advise clients on tax planning opportunities. Candidates will also be expected to work some overtime but less than a typical CPA firm.
