Your Talent Team is recruiting for a Tax Manager position with a growing CPA firm in North Central Phoenix. You will manage tax planning, supervise staff, and ensure accurate tax compliance for diverse clients.

Responsibilities span from preparing and reviewing returns to research on complex tax issues, engagement planning, and business development while mentoring staff and maintaining client relationships in a fast-paced practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in accounting is required.
• 3+ years public accounting experience with a concentration in small business and individual taxation.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other reports.
• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document record keeping and accounting systems.
• Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of complex transactions.
• Conduct research on complex accounting and tax issues and manage staff researchers.
• Identify trends and assess problems or opportunities in data.
• Evaluate costs, benefits, and risks of alternative solutions for clients.

Education

Bachelor's in accounting

Master's in taxation preferred

Master's in accounting beneficial
