Job Description
Join Baker Tilly as a Tax Manager with our Private Wealth / High Net Worth team in NorCal. In this role you will be a valued advisor delivering tax and business advisory services and tax compliance to small business clients. You will work side‑by‑side with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business, having a direct impact on the firm’s success. You will also mentor and coach a group of talented staff, helping to develop their technical and professional skills.

What You Will Do
- Assist in providing compliance and consulting services to high‑net‑worth individuals, multi‑generational affluent families, family offices and their private businesses and/or investment entities:
- Perform complex individual, partnership, S‑corp, trust, estate, gift and state tax returns
- Work on multiple engagements that deliver proactive tax planning and strategic consulting including federal estate, gift, charitable planning and generation‑skipping tax
- Build technical competence by keeping up‑to‑date on trends, developments and technical authorities and applying them to complex situations
- Learn and grow from direct and on‑the‑job coaching and mentoring while participating in firm‑wide learning and development programs
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients
- Support the growth and development of team members

Qualifications
- 4‑year degree
- Master’s or advanced degree preferred
- CPA, Law License, or Enrolled Agent
- Five (5) years of experience providing federal and state tax compliance, accounting and advisory services in a professional services firm
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, see the big picture as well as details, exhibit appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and show a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and timely completion of projects
- Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred
