Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with an accounting emphasis.
Four or more years of tax experience at a CPA firm; active CPA license required.
Experience with Thomson Reuters Checkpoint, CCH ProSystem FX, and similar platforms.
Strong leadership, technical judgment, client relationship management, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

Manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
Supervise and mentor staff and senior accountants, guiding technical issues and workflow management.
Conduct and review tax research; communicate findings clearly to clients and partners.
Identify tax planning opportunities and develop strategies to minimize liabilities while ensuring compliance.
Monitor engagement budgets, billing, and realization; assist with proposals and onboarding as needed.
Review work papers for accuracy and adherence to standards.
Stay current on tax law changes and contribute to firm best practices.
