Job summary

Wipfli seeks an experienced tax professional to manage and coordinate tax compliance and advisory work for clients in manufacturing and retail distribution sectors. You will review federal and multi-state returns and lead day-to-day client relationships, partnering with leadership to deliver services and identify extension opportunities.

This role requires 5+ years of tax experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and CPA licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• CPA certification required in the state of practice.
• 5+ years of job-related experience.
• Experience in manufacturing and retail distribution.
• Prior accounting or tax experience.
• Subject matter leader in accounting/tax services.
• Management/mentoring experience with staff.
• Experience making recommendations to management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate tax compliance and advisory work for clients.
• Review Federal and Multi-State Partnership tax returns.
• Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters supporting partners with service execution.
• Research and consult on technical matters and special projects.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate with clients for superior service.
• Participate in business development with partners and marketing to build client prospects.
• Manage, train and develop staff and participate in performance reviews.
• Lead multi-disciplined client service teams for account planning.
• Prepare and review client correspondence (letter, e-mail).
• Participate in firm events for industry-specific and regional clients.
