SpectrumCareers is recruiting a Tax Manager for a growing tax team in the United States. The role supports a range of compliance and advisory engagements, collaborating with senior professionals and clients.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of tax experience and a strong grasp of federal/state tax concepts, with CPA eligibility preferred. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 1–3 years of public accounting or tax experience preferred.
• Experience with federal and state tax compliance.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and tax software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and other entities.
• Assist with quarterly and annual tax compliance engagements.
• Prepare and review tax workpapers, supporting schedules, and tax adjustments.
• Research federal and state tax issues and communicate findings to senior team members.
• Assist with tax planning and identifying potential tax-saving opportunities.
• Work with clients to gather financial information and resolve tax questions.
• Reconcile financial and tax records and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with IRS and state tax notices, inquiries, and audits.
• Support tax provision and estimated tax calculations as needed.
• Maintain organized engagement files and ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Collaborate with Managers and Senior Associates on multiple client engagements.
• Stay current on changes to federal and state tax laws and regulations.
