Job summary

Intelligent Staffing Company in New York, NY is seeking a Tax Manager for its High Net Worth practice. You will lead complex engagements for high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, estates, and related entities, covering compliance, planning, and advisory work.

The role requires CPA or EA, 5–7+ years in public accounting, and strong client management paired with leadership of staff and cross-functional collaboration with Partners.

Qualifications

• CPA or EA required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5-7+ years of public accounting experience.
• Strong background in individual, corporate, and partnership taxation.
• Experience with high-net-worth individuals and families.
• Experience supervising and mentoring tax professionals.
• Strong client-management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tax engagements from planning through completion, meeting deadlines and client expectations.
• Lead complex tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, estates, and related entities.
• Perform compliance, review, planning, and advisory work; supervise staff.
• Prepare, review, and manage tax returns, extensions, and planning calculations.
• Review U.S., multi-state, and international income tax returns.
• Conduct tax research and write technical memos.
• Represent clients with the IRS and state tax agencies on audits and notices.
• Mentor staff and support business development with fee quotes and proposals.
