Job summary

The Bonadio Group is seeking a Tax Manager to lead engagements for High Net Worth clients in a hybrid role, with the flexibility to accommodate success. Responsibilities include managing tax planning, trust and estate filings, and mentoring staff, while expanding the client base through strong relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• CPA or EA certification required.
• Minimum five years of CPA firm experience.
• Ability to develop and sustain business relationships to grow the client base.
• Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Complete client engagements including compilations, tax compliance, preparation, research, correspondence and planning.
• Manage trust and estate filings (Form 1041) and advise on wealth planning, succession and family tax strategy.
• Create and execute advanced tax planning strategies related to income, investments, equity compensation, trusts, estates, wealth preservation, and closely held business interests.
• Review and prepare clear working papers.
• Analyze diverse issues with multiple influencing factors and current business trends.
• Develop effective relationships with internal and external clients.
• Assist clients with special projects.
• Deliver engagements on time, within budget and to client satisfaction.
• Manage, mentor, and develop staff with oversight on engagements and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Overall successful completion of client engagements including compilations, tax compliance, preparation, research, correspondence and planning
• Responsible for managing trust and estate-related filings (Form 1041) and enacting a consultative approach on topics impacting wealth planning, succession, and family tax strategy.
• Create and execute advanced tax planning strategies related to income, investments, equity compensation, trusts, estates, wealth preservation, and closely held business interests.
• Review and prepare clear and concise working papers
• Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
• Develop effective working relationships with internal and external clients
• Assist clients with special projects
• Deliver projects/engagements on time, within budget and to client's satisfaction
• Manage, mentor, and develop staff inclusive of oversight on client engagements and providing evaluative feedback

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting
• CPA or EA certificationA minimum of five years of relevant CPA firm experience
• Ability to develop and sustain business relationships for the purpose of increasing the client base
• Proficiency with tax software, Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability and willingness to travel as required

Hours Of Operation

• Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
• Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday
• We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
