Job summary

RSM US LLP, a leading professional services firm, seeks a Senior Tax professional for its Family Office Enterprise practice in Austin, TX. You will advise ultra-high-net-worth families on tax planning, compliance, and wealth strategies, while leading engagements and mentoring staff.

The role requires 5+ years in public accounting or family office taxation, CPA/EA/JD, and strong communication skills. A diverse client base and opportunity for growth are offered with a discretionary bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business
• CPA, EA, or JD required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or a family office with emphasis on taxation
• Proficient in at least one tax area with understanding of investments and tax implications
• Familiar with multi-state taxation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team and handle multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Advise single-family, multi-family and virtual-family office clients on tax services including structuring, modeling, succession planning, wealth transfer planning and tax compliance
• Manage and oversee the engagement team focused on entity, individual, fiduciary, and gift/estate taxation, including planning and execution of client tax engagements
• Collaborate with RSM specialists regarding estate and gift planning and taxation, state and local taxation and international taxation
• Provide leadership, training and career mentorship to staff and supervisor level team members
• Drive and collaborate with senior leadership on growth opportunities with existing clients and prospects
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients and other professional advisors through outstanding client service
