Job summary

Koch, Inc. is seeking a Tax Manager to join our Koch Investments Group. The role will be based out of Plano, TX or Wichita, KS and involves leading federal taxation activities and mentoring tax staff within a large private company ecosystem.

You will review returns, model tax positions, and collaborate with multiple Koch companies to maximize tax efficiency while staying compliant. A strong background in tax policy, provision, and data analytics is essential.

Qualifications

• Progressive career experience in federal taxation or tax accounting.
• Strong understanding of federal tax policies and reporting requirements.
• Experience training and developing tax staff or interns.

Responsibilities

• Review income tax returns (Forms 1120, 1065) for accuracy and tax compliance.
• Model and maintain tax positions and attributes for assigned companies.
• Develop and train senior tax analysts, tax analysts and tax interns.
• Update projections based on forecasts and review quarterly tax accounting submissions.
• Build relationships across Koch companies to optimize tax positions.
• Provide technical tax advice to project teams and the business.
• Manage prioritization of multiple projects and communicate results.
• Research tax impacts and disclosures related to transactions.
• Drive innovation and transformation within the tax organization.
