Tax Manager / Auditor (CPA)

Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 per year.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee and manage all tax operations within the organization while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
  2. Conduct thorough audits of financial records and transactions to ensure accuracy and conformity with established accounting standards and legal requirements.
  3. Provide strategic tax planning advice and guidance to the management team, including identifying potential tax advantages and minimizing tax risks.
  4. Prepare and review complex tax returns, reports, and other financial documents related to real estate tax.
  5. Liaise with tax authorities and represent the company during tax audits and disputes.
  6. Keep abreast of the latest developments in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the organization’s tax policies and procedures remain up‑to‑date.
  7. Train and mentor junior tax staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
  8. Work collaboratively with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for business decisions.
Qualifications
  1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is mandatory.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in tax management and auditing, with a focus on real estate tax.
  3. In‑depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting procedures related to real estate.
  4. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
  5. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non‑finance professionals.
  7. High level of integrity and professionalism and commitment to ethical business practices.
  8. Proficiency in using tax software and other financial management tools.
  9. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.
