Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a Tax Manager to lead the preparation and review of client tax returns and to guide a team of tax professionals. The role emphasizes strong tax knowledge, client service, and leadership in a busy regional CPA firm.

The incumbent will oversee complex business returns, participate in planning with clients, and mentor staff to ensure timely, accurate reports. A CPA license and extensive public accounting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years in public accounting with increasing tax complexity.
• One year minimum supervising tax preparers or staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required; a Master’s in Taxation is preferred; CPA license required.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve tax returns and government examinations.
• Lead larger tax returns and delegate tasks to preparers as needed.
• Provide advanced tax advisory support and client service.
• Ensure tax returns are completed accurately, timely, and within budget.
• Participate in tax planning meetings with clients and cross‑department teams.
• Guide and train junior staff and supervise staff accountants.
