Job summary

Burnett Specialists is seeking a Tax Manager to oversee daily banking activities and tax compliance across multiple states and jurisdictions in the United States. The role requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Federal and state tax laws and coordinating with external tax advisors on year-end reporting.

• Manage, train and develop direct reports to enhance their career development.

Tax Manager Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Business Administration, Insurance and/or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience with Multi-State and Federal taxes, multi-state business insurance, and contract administration.
• Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and ethical standards in all Company dealings on a daily basis and ability to foster strong, open lines of communication across all levels of the organization.
• Expertise and understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), Internal Revenue Code, and state tax compliance.
• Supervisory experience.
• CPA certification and tax experience.
