The Tax team is expanding, and the organization is seeking a Tax Manager to support growing business needs at its headquarters location in Willoughby, OH.
What You Will Do
- Oversee indirect tax compliance, including sales & use, excise, and personal property tax
- Lead audits, reverse audits, and settlement negotiations
- Support tax planning and research for ongoing business initiatives
- Deliver internal training related to tax impacts on purchasing and sales
- Conduct detailed tax research as needed
- Develop and mentor indirect tax staff
Skills and Experience Needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field
- Minimum 5 years of U.S. indirect tax experience
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience (team lead, project lead, people leadership, etc.)
- Ability to manage large volumes of return filings and meet strict deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
- Excellent organizational skills and communication abilities
- Self‑motivated and able to thrive in a flexible, collaborative environment
- Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work cross‑functionally
What Will Help You Stand Out
- Advanced degree in Accounting or Taxation
- Experience in the manufacturing sector
- Demonstrated ability in people development
- SAP experience
- Experience with tax engines such as Vertex
- Exposure to tax incentives, government affairs, or excise/Superfund tax
