The Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient, accurate, complete, and prompt preparation of all clients' tax returns. They make decisions on all but the most exceptional tax situations.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity.
• Ensures all tasks related to client service are accomplished within budgeted time.
• Participates actively in client meetings and tax planning efforts to assist the Auditing and Accounting Department with larger clients.
• Acts as a resource for tax preparers/specialists and A&A staff on specific tax issues and questions.
• Delegates and manages governmental tax examinations; may represent the client before taxing authorities.
• Ensures smooth flow of tax returns through the system to assure accurate, complete, and timely delivery.
• Researches and evaluates tax software for recommendations to partners.
• Participates in practice development efforts through industry and community involvement.
• Supervisory responsibilities include developing, coaching, and training staff accountants and seniors.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years' experience in public accounting, demonstrating progression in tax complexity and scope.
• Experience with entity tax returns - S Corps and LLCs.
• At least one year supervising and directing tax preparers.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; master's in taxation preferred.
• CPA license required.

Salary range: $138,000 - $152,000 annually
