Senior Tax Professional

Location: Fully Onsite

Employment Type: Direct Hire | Full Time

We’re working with a long-standing accounting firm to find an experienced tax specialist with a solid foundation in compliance, planning, and advisory services. The firm has a loyal client base made up of individuals, nonprofit entities, and closely held businesses. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys building client relationships and offering practical financial solutions beyond just filing returns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on routine accounting matters and help resolve everyday financial questions.
• Prepare a wide range of federal, state, and local tax returns including for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Calculate quarterly tax estimates and manage overall compliance deadlines.
• Assist clients in responding to IRS and state tax notices or audits.
• Research tax matters related to complex business scenarios.
• Draft or review financial statements and offer strategic guidance on tax planning and business goals.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field.
• Minimum of four years of tax experience, including both return prep and advisory work.
• Hands-on experience with tax prep software (knowledge of CCH ProSeries is a bonus).
• Comfortable using QuickBooks (familiarity with other small-business software is a plus).
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard office programs.
