Job summary

Job Juncture seeks a Tax Manager for a Growing CPA firm in North Phoenix. This in-office role leads tax engagements, delivers planning, consulting, and compliance services, and mentors Tax Accountants and Staff.

Qualified candidates are CPAs with 5+ years of public accounting tax experience, strong communication, and proficiency in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation. Experience in IRS/state notices is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting.
• Ability to be a creative thinker and provide value and ideas to clients and the Firm.
• 2 years of supervising and training experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience handling IRS and state notices.

Job description

Growing CPA firm in North Phoenix is looking to add a Tax Manager to their staff.

This position is in office.

Duties-

• Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services
• Manage tax engagements and workload efficiently
• Manage clients and their expectations
• Prepare corporate, partnership, individual, and trust and estate tax returns
• Provide leadership to Tax Accountants and Staff
• Experience handling IRS and state notices
• Understanding of QuickBooks
• Maintain knowledge of changing tax regulations

Experience/Knowledge –

• Licensed CPA
• 5+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting
• Experience preparing forms 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041s and 1040s
• Ability to be a creative thinker and provide value and ideas to clients and the Firm
• 2 years of supervising and training experience preferred
• Ability to review work prepared by tax accountants
• Proficient in corporate, partnership and individual taxation
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills required for managing multiple client engagements
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with UltraTax preferred but not required
