Job summary

Computacenter is seeking an Indirect Tax Manager in Norcross, GA to lead the tax team and ensure compliance across sales, use, and property taxes. You will partner with IT, Commercial, and Finance to optimize upstream data and drive automation, while supporting audits and refining processes.

The role requires 5+ years in corporate tax, a relevant degree, and US work eligibility. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential in a fast-paced IT environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience in a corporate tax function.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or related business area.
• CPA preferred.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Good knowledge of SAP, MS Office and MS Teams.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills.
• Good knowledge of the IT industry and IT products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of tax professionals to deliver sales, use, and property tax obligations on time.
• Prepare and analyze tax data; drive process improvements and automation.
• Partner with IT, Commercial, and Finance to ensure accurate data for tax engine.
• Support indirect tax audits; compile documentation and implement solutions to reduce exposure.
• Review month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for tax accounts.
• Research and communicate impacts of indirect tax developments.
• Monitor activities for filing responsibilities and nexus exposure.
• Determine taxability of goods and services sold and purchased.
• Facilitate special projects and collaborate with leadership.
• Work with internal teams on tax treatments for new products and initiatives.

About the role

As the Indirect Tax Manager, you will report to the Head of Tax, Americas. Your primary responsibilities include working with internal and external partners to ensure all indirect tax compliance, audit, and accounting obligations are completed. This role requires a strong drive to identify and implement process improvements, lead change, maintain acute attention to detail, and proactively seek opportunities to improve established ways of working.

What you'll be doing

• Manage a team of tax professionals to consistently deliver all sales, use, and property tax obligations in a timely manner.
• Prepare, review, and analyze sales, use, and property tax compliance data; continuously improve processes, and recommend automation integration to improve the end-to-end compliance process and reliability of results.
• Partner with IT, Commercial, and Finance teams to ensure accurate upstream data (product master, ship-to/ship-from logic, pricing, customer exemptions) feeding the tax engine.
• Expertly support indirect tax audits; compile and review requested documentation and audit workpapers, document results and assist in implementing solutions to reduce future exposure.
• Review month end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for indirect tax accounts.
• Research, analyze, and communicate the impact of indirect tax law developments.
• Monitor and evaluate business activities for filing responsibilities and nexus exposure to mitigate indirect tax deficiencies.
• Research, understand, and determine the taxability of the goods and services being sold and purchased by the company.
• Facilitate special projects, and perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by leadership.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure proper tax treatment for new products and business initiatives.
• Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.

What you have

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or a related business area
• CPA preferred
