Summary

Our Monroe Shine offices are growing! We are looking for a tax professional to manage the day-to-day responsibilities for tax return preparation including client interviews, staff supervision, review, planning, and research for individual and small business tax returns. Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and manage multiple individual and small business tax return engagements simultaneously
• Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
• Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm
• Develop tax planning ideas and communications to clients
• Assist in firm administrative functions as assigned by shareholders
• Analyzing local, state, and federal tax laws and communicate changes to professional staff
• Research tax issues as may arise during planning and preparation of tax returns
• Assignment of tax preparation responsibilities to staff
• Responsible for billing clients upon completion of engagements

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and excellent communication skills required
• Four year accounting degree and CPA required
• 7 + years experience in public accounting and/or taxation
• Specific experience in taxation for S‑Corps, Partnerships, and Individuals required
• Strong research skills are expected
• Experience with ProSystems Tax and Engagement helpful
