Job summary

OneOncology is seeking a Tax Manager in Nashville, TN to lead tax planning and compliance as the company grows. The role reports to the Director of Tax and collaborates with corporate development, legal, and accounting to forecast and analyze tax implications of key strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s preferred
• 4+ years of tax experience
• Active CPA license

Responsibilities

• Compile and translate GAAP financial data into tax data
• Forecast income tax and tax accounting implications
• Maintain investor pool details for reporting
• Analyze tax implications of business decisions and communicate findings
• Manage state and local tax items (sales/use, property)
• Deliver quarterly and annual K-1 and distribution communications
• Coordinate with external tax consultants and improve processes
• Support additional responsibilities to advance the organization’s tax goals

Job Description:

The Tax Manager is a new role that will drive our tax planning & compliance processes to expand with our rapidly growing business. The role will report directly to OneOncology’s Director, Tax and will work closely with the corporate development, legal, and accounting teams to forecast and analyze the tax impact of key operational and strategic initiative decisions across the platform.

This individual will be based in Nashville, TN and have direct interaction with the Chief Financial Officer & other executives & communicate with external service providers as well as Affiliated Practices & cross-functional groups. Therefore, the individual must be skilled at communication with all constituents including C-Suite executives, Board members / investors, corporate leaders, and business partners at all levels. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and seeks to grow with the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Compile & translate GAAP financial data into applicable income tax data
• Forecast estimated income tax & tax accounting implications
• Directly maintain investor pool details for reporting
• Research & analyze tax implications of broad range of business decisions and effectively communicate conclusions to relevant stakeholders
• Manage other State & Local tax items such as Sales/Use & Property
• Deliver quarterly & annual K-1 & distribution communications to partner/investor pool
• Optimize controls & coordination with external tax consultants
• Additional responsibilities as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.

Required or Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 4+ years of Tax experience required
• Healthcare industry & Partnership Income Tax experience a plus
• Active CPA license required

Essential Competencies:

• Robust understanding of GAAP & Accrual tax methods
• Experience with equity capitalization tables
• Proficiency in working with large data sets in Microsoft Excel
• Strong ability to work cohesively with different teams to support tax needs of various business functions
• Initiative to create & improve processes & ambition for constant enhancement
