Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
• 5+ years of full-time tax compliance experience for ultra-affluent individuals and families, partnerships, trusts, and not-for-profit entities.
• Active CPA or Enrolled Agent.
• Proficiency in tax software: BNA Income Tax Planner, Checkpoint RIA, CCH Axcess Tax, MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing client engagement teams and direct workflow with in-depth compliance and consulting services.
• Collaborate with tax team and partner group on tax planning, entity structuring, and complex solutions.
• Assist in budgeting, resource planning, and directing engagements.
• Train and develop staff and supervisors.
• Assist in preparing quarterly billing and annual retainer for clients.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing client engagement teams, direct workflow and provide in-depth compliance and consulting services to clients.
• Work closely with the tax team and partner group to provide tax planning, entity structuring and multifaceted solutions to help clients achieve their goals.
• Assist in developing budgets, determine resource requirements, and direct / monitor engagements.
• Train, motivate and develop staff, senior, and supervisor level professionals.
• Assist in preparing quarterly billing and annual retainer for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
• 5 years or more full‑time work tax compliance experience in ultra‑affluent individuals and families, partnership, trust and not‑for‑profit entities.
• Active CPA or Enrolled Agent.
• Proficiency in common tax technology preparation and reporting software (BNA Income Tax Planner, Checkpoint RIA, CCH Axcess Tax, MS Office – advanced Excel capabilities).
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in leading and mentoring successful and engaged teams.
• Multistate, foreign income reporting or gift & estate tax experience.
• Equity compensation (stock options, restricted stock 10(b)(5)(1) plans), complex capital transaction experience.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.

• The compensation range for this role is $125,000/yr – $185,000/yr. Final compensation will be tailored to the candidate’s unique combination of skills, professional experience, and qualifications, as well as geographic location.
