This role is for a Tax Manager experienced with C-corporations who wants to do true consulting work with operating businesses, PE-backed companies, and on complex transactions.

The firm is building leaders, not just filling seats, and its path to Partner rewards client service, technical depth, and developing people, with no book of business required.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and review federal and multi-state C corporation returns, including consolidated groups, for middle-market clients in technology, manufacturing, distribution, and consumer products.

  • Identify planning opportunities, propose solutions independently, and serve as a trusted advisor to CFOs and controllers.
  • Support transactional work, including acquisitions, dispositions, purchase price allocations, and rollover equity for PE-backed companies.
  • Coordinate with specialty groups such as state and local, R&D credits, and international tax to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Research complex tax issues, document conclusions, and represent clients in IRS and state examinations.
  • Lead, train, and mentor senior and staff members, managing engagement workflows, budgets, and deadlines.
Qualifications:

  • Active CPA license required (or EA with comparable experience).
