Lancaster, Schnautz & White, LLP, a well-established, full-service public accounting firm located in Evansville, IN, provides tax, accounting, and business advisory services to small to mid-size closely held businesses and their owners. We are currently seeking a dedicated team player with 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience to oversee the tax department, lead tax engagements, mentor junior staff and provide strategic tax planning to our diverse clientele.

Responsibilities:

• Tax Services – Review federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, and trusts


• Accounting Services - Lead engagements throughout all phases of tax and accounting including high level tax planning, research, projections, compliance, and consulting and resolve complex tax and accounting issues.


• Staff Supervision – Oversee, train and mentor tax and bookkeeping staff


• Client Relationships - Meet with clients and build new and existing client relationships

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting


• 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibilities


• CPA license preferred, but not required


• Proven track record of managing and training accounting personnel


• Strong communication, organizational, analytical and PC skills including Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Online and tax software proficiency (UltraTax software proficiency is a plus)


• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with clients and all levels of staff and develop strong client relationships


• Competitive compensation of $100,000-$125,000/year, commensurate with experience
