Job summary

Professional Search Group in Carlsbad is seeking a Tax Manager to advise business owners, real estate investors, and high‑net‑worth individuals while growing the firm’s tax team. You’ll partner with leadership on planning and client strategy and have ownership of a growing client portfolio.

You’ll lead tax planning, review complex returns, mentor staff, and help shape the firm’s advisory services as it expands in North County. CPA preferred, 5+ years in public accounting tax requested.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• Strong technical tax knowledge and experience reviewing returns.
• Ability to build client relationships, manage priorities, and mentor staff.
• A proactive approach and interest in growing as a leader.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review individual, partnership, S-Corporation, and corporate tax returns.
• Lead client relationships and provide proactive tax planning and advice.
• Research complex tax issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Review staff work, provide coaching, and support professional development.
• Manage engagement deadlines and collaborate with leadership on client strategy.
