Job summary

The Bonadio Group in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Tax Manager to join our Tax Service Line. This role focuses on leading complex tax projects, reviewing returns, and delivering innovative planning, consulting, and compliance services to business and individual clients.

You will mentor staff, research issues, and develop solutions across industries, with opportunities to expand into public company tax, financial services, international, cross-border, expatriate, and advisory work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• Active CPA or EA certification required.
• Minimum five years of tax experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Initiative to learn new tax skills the diverse client base at The Bonadio Group will offer including but not limited to: public company tax services, banking and financial industry tax services, international, cross-border and expatriate compliance services, and transaction advisory services.

• Review and sign simple business and individual tax returns.
• Develop effective working relationships with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services.
• Ability to identify and research tax issues, develop resolutions, and prepare written conclusions.

The salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $95,000 and is commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting
• An active CPA or EA certification
• A minimum of five years of tax experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent experience

Hours of Operation:

• Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
• Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with Flex Friday scheduling available in accordance with firm policy and business needs
• We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however, there may be times when additional hours may be required
