Job summary

Koch, Inc. seeks a Tax Manager to join our growing tax team in Atlanta, GA. The role reports to the Tax Department and offers exposure to domestic and international taxation within a large private company environment.

You will lead tax reporting, planning and compliance efforts, mentor analysts, and partner with Koch companies to optimize tax positions. This is a full-time on-site position in Atlanta.

Qualifications

• Must have progressive experience in federal taxation or related accounting roles.
• Advanced understanding of federal tax policies and reporting requirements.
• Experience training and developing tax staff or interns.

Responsibilities

• Review income tax returns (Forms 1120 and 1065) for accuracy and compliance.
• Model and maintain tax positions and attributes for assigned companies.
• Develop and train senior tax analysts, tax analysts and interns.
• Update projections based on business forecasts and review quarterly tax accounting submissions.
• Build and develop relationships across Koch companies to optimize tax positions.
• Provide technical tax advice to project teams and business units.
• Manage prioritization of multiple projects and communicate results to leadership.
• Research tax impacts and disclosures for transactions and reporting.
• Drive innovation and transformation within the tax organization.

The Koch tax team is comprised of over 350 professionals with knowledge in a wide range of corporate tax areas including domestic, international, state, transfer pricing and M&A to name a few. What You Will Do

• Review income tax returns to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with domestic tax law including Forms 1120 and 1065 as well as tracking tax basis
• Model and maintain tax positions and attributes for assigned companies
• Develop and train senior tax analysts, tax analysts and tax interns
• Update projections based on business forecasts and review quarterly tax accounting submissions
• Build and develop relationships across the Koch companies to understand and optimize the various business tax positions
• Provide technical tax advice to project teams, other capabilities, and the business you support
• Manage prioritization of multiple projects and communicate results to the team and leadership
• Research tax impacts and determine required disclosures and reporting impacts related to transactions
• Drive innovation and transformation within the tax organization

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Progressive career experience infederaltaxation, tax accounting, financial reporting, or accounting related roles
• Advanced understanding and applicationoffederal tax policies and regulations and reporting requirements
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects, drive initiatives forward, and communicate results
• Experience training and developing tax staff and/or interns

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in a corporate income tax role, tax accounting, financial reporting, or accounting related role
• Experience with OneSource Income Tax, OneSource Tax Provision
• Comfort working with large data sets to analyze, reconcile, and summarize information for tax reporting and decision-making
• Technology-forward mindset, including comfort learning and using modern tools (automation, analytics, and AI assistants) to improve accuracy, efficiency, and insights
• Bachelor's degree or higher
