Job summary

CLA, a top national professional services firm, seeks a Tax Director/Manager to join our growing Tax practice in Iowa, with locations including Cedar Rapids and Des Moines, plus Kansas City. You will lead client engagements, provide tax planning, and develop the team.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in a large firm, a bachelor's in accounting or finance, and active CPA certification (JD/EA may be considered). You excel at solving complex tax issues and delivering value to clients and the firm.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Active CPA certification. JD or EA may be accepted in place of a CPA.
• Interest in joining a team that supports aspiring careers and problem solving.
• Passion for public accounting and Corporate Tax.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning.
• Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.
• Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
• Foster and build opportunities for our clients, communities, and people.
• Become an industry professional and attend industry-leading events and trainings.
• Perform a range of tax procedures in accordance with the size and complexity of the engagement.
• Review complex individual and corporate tax returns.
