Job summary

KBF Advisory, LLC is seeking Tax Interns for a summer 2027 internship in the Irvine, Lake Oswego, or San Diego offices. The full-time internship runs mid-June through early August 2027, requiring 2 days per week in the specified CA offices and CPA eligibility for degree progression.

Ideal candidates are accounting-focused students nearing graduation with a strong academic record and a drive to pursue a career in tax. This hands-on program supports engagement teams and client projects.

Qualifications

• Must be on track to graduate with an accounting-focused bachelor’s and/or master’s degree (CPA eligibility) no earlier than December 2027 and no later than August 2028.
• Minimum 3.2 overall GPA preferred.
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work from KBF’s Lake Oswego, Irvine, or San Diego office a minimum of 2 days per week.
• Full-time schedule from June through early August 2027, Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm; no class schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform tax-related tasks, including compliance, advising and planning for a variety of clients in different industries, multistate and/or multinational enterprises including partnerships, corporations and S-corporations
• Proactively manage projects to ensure delivery of work products based on client expectations and statutory deadlines
• Openly communicate with partners, managers, and teams about the status, timeline, issues, and progress of projects, tasks, and associated budgets
• Learn to develop and manage client relationships
