Job summary

Sensiba LLP's Tax group in Bend, Oregon, invites qualified students to join our eight-week Tax Internship for Summer 2027. You'll assist in preparing federal, state, and local returns for individuals and entities while learning from our experienced professionals.

The program offers exposure to real-world engagements across individual, business, real estate, manufacturing, and VC tax work, plus on-site training at our San Jose headquarters and mentorship.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting at an accredited university.
  • Expected completion of bachelor’s or masters degree in Accounting between December 2027 and June 2028.
  • Minimum accounting GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • CA CPA eligible.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
  • High level of motivation to learn and produce high-quality work.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and a sophisticated client base.
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team to meet periodic and project-based client deadlines.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
  • Support the organization and maintenance of tax documents and client information.
  • Develop deep understanding of our tax software and other relevant tools.
  • Support the tax team in compliance and planning projects.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis under the guidance of our experienced staff.
  • Handle administrative tasks as needed, such as data entry and document preparation.

Tax Intern – Summer 2027

Compensation: $24.00 - $30.00 / hour

Description

Tax Interns are responsible for contributing to the efficient execution of tax engagements, while learning from and collaborating with experienced professionals across Sensiba’s diverse tax practice. This role offers rotational exposure to various specialty areas, including individual and business tax compliance, real estate, manufacturing and distribution, venture capital, and high-net-worth client services. Interns will assist in preparing tax returns, researching tax issues, and documenting client data, while beginning to build professional relationships across the firm.

As a Sensiba intern, you'll join our award-winning internship program, gaining hands‑on experience while developing technical and professional skills. A highlight of the program is an on‑site week at our San Jose headquarters, featuring immersive training, professional development, and networking with colleagues and firm leaders. Throughout the eight‑week internship, you'll build meaningful connections, participate in firmwide events, and gain firsthand insight into life at Sensiba, leaving with greater confidence and a strong foundation for your career.

Key Responsibilities

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Enrollment at an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major or emphasis in Accounting.
  • Expected completion of bachelors or masters degree in Accounting between December 2027 and June 2028.
  • Minimum accounting GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • CA CPA eligible.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
  • High level of motivation to learn and produce high-quality work.

Compensation & Benefits

This role offers a competitive hourly rate. The anticipated ranges for this position are outlined below and are subject to change:

  • $24/hour - $30/hour
