Job summary

Corient seeks a Tax Intern for Spring 2027 in Westport, CT. The role is part-time (~24 hours/week) with a January–April 2027 duration and onsite work four days per week.

You will assist in preparing returns for individuals, trusts, estates, and more, while learning tax laws and software in a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation, with strong Excel/Office skills, reliability, and a client-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting/taxation.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, gifts, foundations, and businesses.
• Review tax source documents and OCR data for accuracy.
• Conduct tax research and stay current on tax legislation and reforms.
• Assist with federal and state tax notices and audits.
• Maintain organized tax files and document supporting information.
• Input data into tax return software and databases.
