Job summary

Cherry Bekaert's Florida office is seeking a Tax Intern to gain hands-on experience in public accounting. You will assist on client engagements, shadow senior staff, and participate in team training and development activities.

The role offers exposure to tax projects and professional growth opportunities. Ideal candidates are accounting students close to graduation, with strong computer and spreadsheet skills, and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Juniors or seniors enrolled in an accredited accounting or related program, two years from graduation
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel

Responsibilities

• Gain insight into the public accounting profession and build a solid foundation for your career.
• Work for multiple supervisors on a variety of client engagements.
• Apply accounting knowledge while performing client work using Firm technology.
• Shadow Tax professionals of all levels.
• Participate in team building and training initiatives.
• Attend social functions: happy hours, lunches, community service projects and other outings.
