Job summary

CLA in Bloomington, Champaign, and Peoria, IL is seeking Tax Interns for January 2028 start. This internship offers hands-on exposure to individual, corporate, and partnership returns and supports client engagements under supervision.

You will expand industry knowledge, complete research, and communicate progress with clients and CLA team members. Pursuing accounting/finance degrees with CPA eligibility preferred; strong MS Office skills expected.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's in Accounting/Finance.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and financial data.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with MS Windows and Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns.
• Gains experience with procedures, workpapers, and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget.
• Expands industry knowledge through peers, clients, and training.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA team members.
