Baker Tilly is seeking a Tax Experienced Associate for the Private Wealth/Private Client Services team in California. This role focuses on delivering tax advisory and compliance services to private clients and closely held businesses, with potential for growth and client-facing experience.

You will work with a team to provide tax solutions, engage in research, and support career development within a leading CPA advisory firm known for flexibility and client service.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required; CPA, Law license, or Enrolled Agent preferred.
• One year of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services.
• Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration and problem solving.
• Strong leadership, project management, organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing tax compliance and consulting services to industry specific clients.
• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to S-corporations, partnerships, individuals and corporations in the middle market space.
• Participate in tax research projects and draft IRS responses; address tax authority inquiries.
• Collaborate with leaders on projects in corporate and flow-through taxation (ASC740, accounting methods).
• Develop recommendations for clients and share with leadership for discussion.
• Coordinate with specialty tax practices on state/local, international, credits and incentives matters.
