Job summary

CLA is seeking a Tax Director/Manager to join our Northeast Tax practice. This role advises clients on business processes, succession planning, and complex tax strategies across multiple offices in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

The position offers exposure to corporate and individual taxes and opportunities to shape client outcomes. You will lead tax engagements, mentor staff, review returns, and strengthen client relationships while collaborating with partners to drive value.

Qualifications

• CPA certification required or JD/EA acceptance in lieu of CPA
• Experience leading tax engagements in a large firm
• Ability to manage client relationships and staff development
• Strong knowledge of corporate and individual tax regimes (multistate)

Responsibilities

• Lead tax engagements for clients across Maryand and PA.
• Mentor and supervise staff, review complex returns.
• Develop client relationships and strategic tax plans.
